Note: Support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 and macOS 10.12 to 10.14 is discontinued with Tor Browser 14. Users on these legacy operating systems will continue to receive security updates for Tor Browser 13.5 for until at least March of 2025. We strongly advise users to update in order to maintain access to the most recent updates and security features provided by Tor Browser.

Windows

For Linux

  1. 打开 Tor 浏览器的下载页面。

  2. Download the Linux .tar.xz file.

  3. （推荐）验证文件的签名。

  4. 接着根据图形界面或命令行方式继续操作：

图形界面方式

  • 下载完成之后，通过存档管理器提取。

  • Navigate to the Tor Browser directory.

  • Click on the start-tor-browser.desktop file to launch the browser.

Note: If these steps do not work, please try the following command-line method.

命令行方式

  • 下载完成之后，使用命令 tar -xf [TB archive] 提取存档。

  • 在 Tor 浏览器目录下，可运行以下命令来启动 Tor 浏览器：

    ‪./start-tor-browser.desktop

    注意： 如果该命令无法运行，可能需将该文件标记为可执行。在该目录下运行：chmod +x start-tor-browser.desktop

  • To register Tor Browser as a desktop application and have it accessible from the application menus run this command:

    ./start-tor-browser.desktop --register-app
